enJOYing Food

A friend commented recently that I am a foodie. That's great cos' it is only in recent years that I have started to enjoy my food without any hangups, guilt or worries about calories. It is liberating, like how it was when I threw out my weighing scale.

Enjoying food is different from binge eating. In fact, I am particular about what I eat and enjoy. The following are some pics of yummylicious food that I tasted over the past months. Of course, hawker and home cooked food's delicious too!

Was at Al Forno on Sat and my Linguine all’ Aragosta (Linguine with Lobster in cherry tomato sauce & a dash of chilli) was delicious. So was the Frittura di Pesce (Deep fried calamari and prawns).

Had a yummy carpetbag steak at Fosters - an English Rose Cafe .

The next couple of pics were taken at Dozo which served a value-for-money degustation menu.

Lobster porridge anyone? It's from Orchid Live Seafood.

What would make you happy?

Through the years, both on a professional and personal basis, I have had the pleasure of exchanging insights with friends as well as clients. The pursuit of happiness is certainly one of the top priorities of many. Actually, I would say that it is the priority of all cos' it underlies the other priorities. :) :) :)

Client: I am unhappy because......
Me: So, what would make you happy?
Client: Err... err.... Don't know. I am unhappy because...

If you do not know what would make you happy then most likely, you will find yourself caught in an endless web of unhappiness. If you do not know what would make you happy, then it is challenging or near impossible for anyone else in your life to help give a little nudge.

Back in my dark night of the soul, I was caught in a web of pain and sadness. At the same time, I also focused on what would be my dream life, what would make me happy. Day by day, month by month, year by year, I began to realise the different aspects of my dream life. Because I know what would make me happy for example, self-development, financially stable, meeting new friends, travel, picking up new skills etc, I could work towards that. I focused on what would make me happy and left the "how" part to HIM to show and guide. For example, I wanted a different life where I could have space and time yet be financially stable. He guided me to Quantum-Touch in 2005 and today, I am living the life I desired.

If you are feeling unhappy right now, take some time off for yourself. Have a cup of tea or coffee, relax and then start thinking about what would make you happy. If your mind starts to go "but I can't achieve that", "how can I get that" etc, STOP and bring your attention back to what would make you happy.

During the session, if your mind is a blank when it comes to what would make you happy, then that's an important realisation and insight for you isn't it? If that happens, then recognise your new insight and start to focus on the future then be caught in the past.

As William Jennings Bryan says "Destiny is not a matter of chance, it is a matter of choice". I came across this quote during my dark nights and it has helped me to create the life I desire. enJOY a beautiful abundant day!

Happy

I'm 37 today and it is indeed a HAPPY birthday. It's been a week and day of sweet surprises and many fond memories were created. The key is relationships. The ties that bind us together are the ones that radiates warmth.

Thank you all for being an important part of my life!

37 A-musing

I'll be 37 soon and as with previous years, I tend to muse and be a muse a fair bit at this point. Birthdays hold significant anchors as well as propulsion effect to fly forward.

This year, it appears my state is one of balance, contentment, joyous, amusing (giggly some friends commented) and being as my day draws near. I am flowing positively forward yet enjoying each being moment.

Bliss.
